Catherine and Travis’ breathtaking elopement in Glacier National Park proves that love conquers all (COVID and wildfires included). Catherine fell in love with The Lounge by Lela Rose, a gown that looks like it was made for her. Congratulations Catherine and Travis, we’re so humbled to have been a part of your elopement. Never stop celebrating!

See below for Catherine and Travis’ wedding story:

“Our original wedding was scheduled for July 10th, 2020 in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Travis and I made the decision to cancel our wedding in May and decided to have a micro-wedding with just our immediate family in September. We worked with our planner to scope out a new venue and use as many of our original wedding vendors as possible. Our new venue was a remote Airbnb near Gypsum, Colorado. About 3 weeks before the second wedding, the Grizzly Creek wildfire started, closing down I70 and blocking a path to get to the venue. Needless to say, we had to cancel. Since I teach at Colorado Mesa University, I had one week off for the semester for our scheduled wedding date of 9-9-2020 (I have a thing with double numbers). If we were going to get married in 2020, we needed to do it that week. With 2 weeks before our scheduled wedding date, we talked with our amazing photographer, India Earl, to brainstorm elopement locations. We decided on Glacier National Park in Montana. Having planned two weddings at this point, Travis took the lead planning role for the third. We rented an RV, packed up our dog, Georgia, and set out on an epic road trip! My mom was able to fly from Arkansas to be there and she rented a cute cabin in the woods where we parked our RV. We hiked out to a little spot on St. Mary’s Lake where Georgia walked me down the “aisle” and we read our vows to each other. As the sun set behind the mountain peaks, we drove to a few more spots in the park for photos. We had dinner for 2 under the Montana sky complete with a donut wedding cake. My favorite part of the whole day was sitting by the bonfire we made, wrapped in a blanket, sipping champagne, and looking up at the Milky Way. We finished the week off with a dream trip through Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. What began with 2 cancelled weddings ended with a wedding adventure beyond our wildest dreams.”
