Fotini + Thodoris' Dreamy Greek Wedding

Fotini and Thodoris had a fairy tale wedding day in Kalamata, Greece. The two wed in the most stunning Greek Orthodox church among their close friends and family. We couldn’t imagine a dreamier place to exchange vows! Fotini fell in love with the Hailey gown by Lis Simon. Hailey is a classic v-neck ballgown with a tulle skirt, beaded applique and low back.

We had the opportunity to chat with Fotini after her wedding and are thrilled to share her responses!

LWD: Tell us a little about your gown shopping experience. What were you looking for in a dress and how did you narrow it down to your favorites?

Fotini: I scheduled my appointment with LWD online and was contacted by my stylist who asked about my wedding dress preferences and where my wedding would be. When I met my stylist in person I felt so lucky to have her assist me with finding “the one” for my special day. I was looking for something classic and simple yet elegant. My wedding dress was the first one I tried on and I love how it fit and how I looked in it. It just “felt right”.

LWD: How did you end up deciding on your Lis Simon wedding dress? What did you love most about your dress?

Fotini: I decided on my Lis Simon wedding dress because of its classic, elegant look and GORGEOUS back. That was probably my favorite part of my dress. It was super comfortable and I knew that I could look back at my photos and it would still be beautiful even 30 years down the road. Elegance never goes out of style.

LWD: What was your favorite part of your wedding?

Fotini: My favorite part of our wedding was having it back home in Greece. Both my husband and I are first generation Greek-American and to bring a bit of both cultures to our wedding was so special to us.

LWD: Do you have any advice for brides going through the process of finding their wedding dress?

Fotini: My advice to brides would be to listen to their heart when picking their dress. It’s great to have supportive friends and family along to your dress fitting for advice, but ultimately it’s your day and your dress. Trust yourself!

LWD: Anything else you want to mention about your experience with LWD?

Fotini: Overall, it was a wonderful experience I will hold in my heart for many years to come. LWD is such a chic and beautiful bridal shop in the heart of Denver. So glad I was introduced to it by my sister in law!
