Green Wedding Ideas | Little White Dress - Denver, Colorado

Many brides and grooms are looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint at their wedding. Not only does this help the planet, but it also makes a clear environmentally conscience statement tothe wedding guests. It might even help wedding guests re-evaluate their consumption patterns and use some of the ideas that the bride and groom put forth in their own daily lives. We have brainstormed several ways to create an event that is in harmony with mother earth.

>Rent as many things as possible such as stemware, plates, linens tables and chairs

>Ask your preferred florist and caterer if they can use organic or local product

>Consider potted plants as decor accents

>Donate a portion of your wedding flowers to a nursing home or hospital

>Consider Eco-Friendly Gown designers like Alisa Benay and the Pure Collection by Justin Alexander

>Request that you caterers put all food waste in a compost container and sort recycling
> Instead of paper save the date and invitations, consider electronic save the date and invitation for your more tech-savvy guests.
>Instead of a using a gift registry, choose a non-profit organization that you would like to have your guests support

>Create a wedding website that explains how your event represents effort to conserve

>Organize ride shares to reduce the number of vehicles used to travel to and from your event

We're proud to have been selected in 2010 for BOTH the Wedding Wire "Brides Choice" AND the Knot's "Best of Weddings" honor by the brides we've loved working with. Thanks for allowing Little White Dress to be a part of your special weddings.
