LWD Bride: Becca's Woodland Whimsy Wedding

Inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream and Alice in Wonderland, Becca and Ryan's beautiful wedding at Devil's Thumb Ranch is a true feast for the eyes. We love seeing creative, colorful weddings that show off the natural beauty of Colorado - and of course, we are smitten to see a dress that completely enhances the whole wedding vision. Becca chose the fantastic 'Willow' gown by Jenny Packham from Little White Dress Bridal Shop, and we agree that it was the perfect choice.

“Finding my dress is what really pulled everything together for me and helped me define our wedding,” Becca remembers.  When she tried on “Willow” by Jenny Packham, she literally started shaking and crying.  “It made me feel like myself and I knew it was my dress.  It was perfect.”  She describes the vintage inspired dress with its effortless graceful fabric, exposed back, and intricate beading as “natural and comfortable, not too structured or rigid.”  Just like them.  Just like their wedding.

Becca was kind enough to chat with us about her dress shopping experience and about her gorgeous wedding - and she included some of the BEST advice ever to brides currently in the process of looking for their wedding dress. Enjoy!

What did you have in mind for your wedding dress before you started shopping?

I approached the entire wedding planning process with an open mind. I did look through quite a few magazines for dress inspiration but found it hard to find a dress that I liked. I knew that I wanted a dress that was unique. Something that you couldn't find just anywhere. I also knew that I wanted some type of sleeve and an open/sheer back. I had heard of Jenny Packham but absolutely fell in love after I tried on some of her dresses at your shop. They had the one of a kind look that I wanted and Willow was more fabulous than I could have ever envisioned.

What was your experience like at Little White Dress?

My experience at Little White Dress was perfect. I had heard great things about it from friends and put it on the top of my list to visit. The dress selection and large range of styles allowed me, as a bride, to try on many different styles in one appointment. The sales women that I worked with were kind, knowledgeable and encouraging. I thought that I had found my dress when I tried on Willow, but I wanted to cover all my bases and try on all the dresses that caught my eye. I was able to ship in 2 other Jenny Packham dresses that were not in your store. Although I went with my original love, that extra level of customer service made all the difference to me.

What is your advice to brides in the process of choosing their wedding dress?

When planning your wedding, there are so many opportunities to think about other people, but the dress is all about how you feel. Trust your instincts, choose a dress that makes you feel incredible, try not to listen to what everyone else thinks, and have fun.
