Does My Gown Need to Match the Venue? Check Out How 4 Brides Made the Same Venue Their Own!

Often the first step in wedding planning (even before dress shopping) is selecting a date and venue. Once your venue is booked, the rest falls nicely into place with the look and feel your venue provides. One of the most frequent questions we hear from brides is whether their dress needs to 'match' or 'go' with their venue. Our advice is to decide for yourself! If it's super important that your venue's aesthetic carries through every aspect of your wedding, then absolutely choose a gown as dramatic or ethereal as your venue. That being said, you can wear a gown with a dramatic train even if your venue is simple and sweet. On the other end of the spectrum, sleek and simple gowns are gorgeous even at the most over-the-top venues.

Don't let your venue's aesthetic make you feel stuck with a particular style of gown. The most important thing about your wedding dress is that you feel beautiful and comfortable on your wedding day!

We're sharing four beautiful weddings of LWD brides who each got married at Devil's Thumb Ranch in Tabernash, CO. Each chose completely different gowns, looks, seasons and decor all at the same stunning venue.
