Shannon + Luke's Hometown Boulder Wedding

Shannon and Luke's hometown Boulder wedding was dreamy to say the least. After a little over a year of dating, Luke proposed with a bouquet of flowers from their garden, breakfast, and poems he wrote for Shannon, along with sweet letters from each of his children. Shannon said, “He joked that if he’d given me their letters first, he wouldn’t have known if I meant it when I said yes—because how could anyone say no to all the sweet things they said?!”

The two opted for a long engagement to help Luke's kids get acquainted with their new soon-to-be family. It also worked out for Shannon to have two years to plan their wedding in their hometown of Boulder, Colorado from across the country. The couple chose a floral and decor aesthetic inspired by the soft, natural beauty Boulder has to offer.

Shannon fell in love with Zoe by J. Mendel, featuring a classic v-neck silhouette and an intricate and exquisitely crafted raw-edge organza ruffle skirt. Shannon selected gorgeous Emmy London peep toe pumps and Maria Elena headpieces for herself and her step daughter.

Shannon was truly one of the sweetest, kindest brides we've had the pleasure of working with. It was an absolute joy to be a part of her gorgeous, heartfelt celebration and to help her with perfecting her wedding day look. Wishing a lifetime of happiness to Shannon and Luke, with thanks to Calluna Events and James & Schulzefor sharing their day with us!
