The One That Got Away, and That's OK!

Why do we carry the designers we carry? Of all the hundreds of bridal designers in the U.S. and around the world, why did we choose the 11 designers we currently offer to our brides? It's a question we answer as we do every other decision that we make as a business: it's because our customer's complete satisfaction, happiness, and joy with the most important and special dress they will ever wear in their life will ALWAYS be our number one priority.

There are SO many beautiful gowns to choose from as we research various designers, dresses, and trends year round, and at market in New York in April and October each year.  Bridal fashions and styles have come a long way just in the past 10 years.  It's amazing the absolutely beautiful and creative choices that are available to today's bride.  We love oohing and ahhing over all the gorgeous dresses that are presented by designers each season, and we take great pride in bringing our brides high quality beautiful gowns in a variety of different styles.

But that's just one part of the equation when we are deciding whether to work with a particular designer. In addition to quality and style, we care about the business values and practices of each designer, such as integrity, honesty, creativity, and genuineness.  We care, because from the beginning, we have built our business on these same values.  We've learned everything is so much better when we are working with honest people, and like-minded people who trust and support us just as much as we trust and support them.  Ultimately, we know our brides care about these things too.  Throughout the process of selecting which designers we will carry, we look for designers who stand behind their work, who care about the brides that wear their creations, and who are thrilled to be a part of such a happy time in a woman's life.

I've never been more excited about the designers we carry at Little White Dress than I am right now. We are exactly where we want to be. Every designer we carry, from L.A. to London and in between, is a joy to work with, and cares about our brides' happiness just as much as we do. At New York Bridal Market in October, as usual, we'll continue to evolve our collection of designers so we can continue to bring the best to our brides. Yes, we'll be looking for the most beautiful dresses. But we're OK letting go of a pretty dress that isn't backed up by all the values that are essential to us at LWD. After all, our brides know that true love isn't skin deep!
